Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Red Carpet Egypt, the market-entry desk of SIG (El-Shahawy Investment Group) (“we”, “us”), collects and uses personal data when you contact us through this website. We take privacy seriously because most of our clients are based in the European Union and rightly expect their data to be handled to EU/GDPR standards.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is SIG (El-Shahawy Investment Group), [registered company number — add], [registered address, Cairo, Egypt — add], with a European contact desk in the Netherlands. For any privacy question, email privacy@redcarpetegypt.com.
2. What we collect
- Information you submit via our contact form: first and last name, company, role, country, email, the service you need, your timeline, and the free-text description of what you are trying to do in Egypt.
- Communications you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Limited technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type) collected by our hosting provider and, if enabled, privacy-friendly analytics.
3. Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare your fixed-scope proposal — on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract.
- To provide our services and manage the engagement — on the basis of performance of a contract.
- To meet legal, regulatory, anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer obligations — on the basis of legal obligation and legitimate interest.
- To send you relevant follow-ups — only where you have consented, which you may withdraw at any time.
4. Where your data goes
Contact-form submissions are transmitted to a Google Workspace environment (Google Apps Script and Google Sheets) operated on our behalf, and trigger an email notification to our team. Google may process this data outside the EU under its standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to evaluate and pursue a possible engagement, and thereafter for the period required by law (for example, accounting and anti-money-laundering record-keeping). When no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise any right, email privacy@redcarpetegypt.com and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Confidentiality
Much of what clients share with us is commercially sensitive. We treat enquiries as confidential by default, offer a two-way NDA on request, and restrict access to your information to the people working on your matter.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
